Privacy Policy for Synctone
Last updated: [DATE - update before publishing]
Synctone (“the app”) is designed to work entirely on your device.
Data we access
Synctone requests access to Apple Health (HealthKit) solely to:
- Save completed listening sessions as Mindful Minutes, so they appear in your Health app alongside your other wellbeing data.
- Read back the Mindful Minutes that Synctone itself has written, in order to display your session history and charts inside the app.
Data we do not collect
Synctone does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, health data, or usage data with us or any third party. The app makes no network requests at all. Nothing you do in the app - your presets, custom frequencies, session history, or Health data - ever leaves your device except through Apple’s own Health app, which you control.
Data storage
Any data Synctone reads or writes lives in Apple’s HealthKit store on your device (and, if you use iCloud for Health, in your own iCloud account - governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours). Synctone keeps no separate copy or server-side database of your information.
Your controls
You can revoke Synctone’s Health access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Synctone, or via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. Revoking access does not delete data already written to Health; delete that from within the Health app itself if you wish.
Children’s privacy
Synctone does not knowingly collect data from children, and because it collects no data at all beyond on-device HealthKit read/write, no child-specific data is collected either.
